Metadata Policy
NJRST is committed to producing, maintaining and disseminating high-quality metadata to support the visibility, discoverability, accessibility, indexing, citation and long-term preservation of the scholarly content it publishes.
Accurate and complete metadata are essential for scholarly communication. The journal therefore aims to ensure that article-level metadata are as complete, consistent and standards-aligned as possible.
Metadata created and maintained by the journal
NJRST maintains metadata for published content, including, where applicable:
- article title;

- author identifiers, such as ORCID iDs;
- abstract;
- keywords;
- publication date;

- licensing information;
- copyright information;
- article type or section;
- language of publication; and
- links to full-text files and article landing pages.
Authors are responsible for providing accurate and complete metadata during submission, including correct author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, abstracts, keywords, funding information and references.
Metadata quality and updates
NJRST will make reasonable efforts to ensure that metadata are accurate, complete and consistent across the journal website, DOI registration services, indexing services, repositories, preservation services and other discovery platforms.
Where metadata errors are identified after publication, the journal will correct them as soon as reasonably possible. Corrections may include updates to author names, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, references, funding information, DOIs, licensing information or other publication details.
Metadata dissemination and reuse
NJRST supports the dissemination and harvesting of metadata by indexing services, libraries, repositories, discovery platforms, research information systems and other scholarly communication services.
Where adopted by the journal, article metadata may be released under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication to support lawful scholarly, educational, indexing, archiving, bibliometric and discovery uses.
Although attribution may not be legally required under CC0, users of the metadata are encouraged, as a matter of scholarly good practice, to acknowledge NJRST as the source of the metadata where appropriate.
