Vol. 3 No. 1 (2021) of the Namibian Journal for Research, Science and Technology presents a multidisciplinary collection of articles addressing research, innovation, education, agriculture, public governance, environmental risk, workplace engagement and applied biological sciences in Namibia. The issue includes an editorial commentary on the role of research and science in responding to global and local challenges, as well as studies on potato production, grassroots innovation, curriculum implementation, coal-waste radiological risk, public procurement, digital learning support, perceptions of Chinatown in Windhoek, leadership and work engagement, and the antibacterial and antibiofilm properties of selected Namibian plant extracts. Collectively, the articles demonstrate the value of research in informing policy, practice, education, innovation and sustainable development in Namibia.
